Did Nurse Error or Hospital Negligence Cause Serious Harm to a Loved One? We Are Here to Help.
Doctors blame nurses for their mistakes. Nurses blame doctors for their mistakes. No one wants to take responsibility for a patient that has been seriously harmed, or even died, at the hands of the medical professionals who were supposed to help him or her heal.
An example of a case we successfully handled involved a patient who underwent abdominal surgery. A few days post-operatively, he became nauseous, was vomiting, and begun complaining of abdominal pain. These were all indications that the patient may be developing a common, but serious complication following abdominal surgery, a bowel obstruction.
The nurses on duty claimed the doctor was not only contacted but told the full extent of the patient's condition. The doctor claimed he was not told the extent of the patient's illness; had he known, he would have returned to the hospital. Regardless of whose version was the truth, in the end, the patient was not seen. His bowel obstruction was not diagnosed and treated in time, and he died.
