Medical Malpractice - Permanent Nerve Injury After an Injection Was Improperly Administered by a Hospital Nurse

Our client was a postal worker who was in the hospital following an elective, minor procedure in a Washington County Hospital. Post-operatively, he was to receive an intramuscular injection in his buttocks for pain relief. However, the injection was improperly administered into his sciatic nerve, causing permanent nerve damage. Only after a year of therapy was our client able to return to his employment as a postal worker. The negligent injection left him with residual impairment and disability.

We filed a medical malpractice suit in Washington County. After the start of a trial, the insurance company for the hospital agreed to settle the case.
